Recent Events
End of the Quarter Party, December 3, 2011
Saturday, December 3, 2011, marked the end of the sixteenth fall quarter in the MSIT. Students, alumni, instructors, staff, and family members enjoyed a buffet feast. Along with MSIT's Director, Abraham Haddad, Associate Director, Trista Wdziekonski, and Program Facilitator, George Nejmeh, everyone enjoyed some spirits, food and good conversation.

Class Gift Dedication, December 3, 2011
On December 3, 2011, the MSIT Class of 2011 dedicated two Nelson platform benches to the MSIT and Northwestern University's McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science. MSIT Director, Abraham Haddad and Associate Director, Trista Wdziekonski accepted the gift on behalf of the program. In attendance were 5 MSIT Alums and their families, along with the present MSIT students.

Homecoming, October 22, 2011
On October 22, 2011, the MSIT welcomed members of all fourteen graduating classes for Homecoming. Fifteen MSIT alumni and family members enjoyed a tailgate party before heading to Ryan Field for the game. Although the Northwestern Wildcats fell short of winning the game against the Penn State Nittany Lions, the few MSIT Alumni were upbeat and enjoyed the day.

MSIT Family Picnic, September 11, 2011
The Eighth MSIT Family Picnic was held on Sunday, September 11, 2011. Eighty-Five alums, students, faculty, and staff joined their loved ones, along with MSIT's Director, Abraham Haddad, Associate Director, Trista Wdziekonski and Program Facilitator, George Nejmeh, for a barbeque lunch at Dr. CC Lee's home. The day was beautiful, and everyone had a great time!

Orientation, September 10, 2011
On September 10, 2011, the MSIT welcomed the Class of 2013! Twenty-six new students mingled during a continental breakfast, followed by presentations by MSIT Director, Abraham Haddad, Board/Faculty Members, Randy Berry, Peter DiCola, Alan Graves, Mike Honig, CC Lee, Russ Joseph, Alan Wolff; and Associate Director, Trista Wdziekonski. The students learned what to expect in the next 2 years, and how the program will work for them in the future.

Graduation, June 17, 2011
On June 17, 2011, the MSIT graduated its fourteenth class of IT professionals in Northwestern's Technological Institute. The ceremony featured a Salutation by McCormick's Dean Julio Ottino and a Graduation Address by Kenneth J. Porrello, Principal with Deloitte & Touche in Chicago.

End of the Year Party, June 4, 2011
Saturday, June 4, 2011, marked the end of the fifteenth academic year in the MSIT. Seventy-Five students, alumni, instructors, staff, and family members walked to the Norris Center and enjoyed a grilled feast. Along with MSIT's Director, Abraham Haddad, Associate Director, Trista Wdziekonski, MSIT Board/Faculty Member, Randy Berry, Professor Hugh Ryan rand Program Facilitator, George Nejmeh, everyone enjoyed a barbecue and good conversation. A brave group continued the evening around a blazing bonfire on Northwestern's lakefront. The evening was beautiful, and everyone had a great time.
