Curriculum: Independent Study
You'll likely discover that our interdisciplinary curriculum provides you with a balanced series of courses that meets your educational needs. However, if you wish to pursue subject matter outside the core curriculum—for example, a topic that meets a current on-the-job need—we allow you to conduct an independent study in your area of interest. With the program director's approval, you may elect to complete independent study projects in place of up to two regular courses, generally in the second year of the program.
