Class of 2011 Orientation
On September 12, 2009, the MSIT welcomed the Class of 2011! Twenty-three new students mingled during a continental breakfast, followed by presentations by MSIT Director, Abraham Haddad, Board/Faculty Members, Randy Berry, Peter Dinda, Alan Graves, Mike Honig, Jim Speta, Darren Taylor, Alan Wolff; and Associate Director, Trista Wdziekonski. The students learned what to expect in the next 2 years, and how the program will work for them in the future.
Before breaking for lunch, the students broke out into study groups and presented their groups to the class.
The new students, joined by faculty, alumni and staff, enjoyed a lavish lunch in the Allen Center.
Presentations were also made by Marvin Capel from QTask, Inc.; and Morris Taylor from Talisman Training Associates, a Chicago-based company that specializes in the development of leadership and communication skills.
The break out session was led by MSIT students and alumni: Ed McCulloch (MSIT 2007), Brandon Hoffman (MSIT 2008), Joan Oliver (MSIT 2009), Adam Lasser (MSIT 2010), Chris Jacobson (MSIT 2010), and Lou Carfagnini (MSIT 2010).
